Esmaeil Shoja-Rouz, speaking to reporters during a visit to the Shahriar Pressure Reduction Station No. 4 on Tuesday, noted that Tehran Province has 4 million gas consumers.

He explained that gas is delivered to pressure reduction stations at 1,000 psi and is reduced to 250 psi at these facilities.

Shoja-Rouz highlighted the localization of mercaptan, a gas odorant previously imported from abroad. He emphasized that the domestically produced mercaptan now matches the quality of its foreign counterparts, thanks to reliance on local expertise.

The operations manager also confirmed the full preparedness of gas pressure reduction stations across the province, achieved through regular and timely inspections.

Shoja-Rouz addressed the safety perimeters of these stations, noting that they are set at 250 meters. He added that all mechanical standards have been met at the Shahriar No. 4 station.
