SHANA (Tehran) – The deputy head of production and operations at Pars Oil and Gas Company announced that major maintenance on 17 gas platforms in South Pars has been completed, with over 70,000 safe work hours recorded.

According to Pars Oil and Gas Company, Ali Mir stated that maintenance work is currently underway on gas platforms in phases 15, 16, and phase 1 of South Pars, thanks to the efforts of operational staff. He added that major maintenance on half of the South Pars gas platforms has been finished, with the remaining platforms scheduled for completion by the end of Mehr (the seventh month of the Iranian calendar, around late September to late October).

Mir said the goal of the annual maintenance is to prepare and enhance the operational capacity of South Pars offshore facilities for safe and sustainable gas production in the second half of the year. "By carrying out these repairs, we are monitoring and resolving platform issues, maximizing readiness to meet the country’s energy needs, and preparing to manage potential challenges throughout the year," he added.

The deputy production manager emphasized that all maintenance activities were conducted with precise technical calculations, strict safety measures, and pipeline isolation protocols.
