Avani broke down gas consumption by sector, stating that 44% of the province’s gas consumption is residential, rising to 65-70% during colder months.
Commercial use accounts for 9%, industrial use for 14%, agriculture for 2%, other uses for 17%, and transportation and CNG stations for 3%.
He also addressed high-consumption clients and issued bills, noting that a residential unit in Zafaraniyeh received a bill of 344 million tomans for consuming 33,000 cubic meters of gas. In Damavand, two residential units consuming 21,000 cubic meters were billed 211 million tomans, while a subscriber in Lavasan consuming 8,000 cubic meters received a 70-million-toman bill.
Avani outlined measures taken by the Tehran Province Gas Company to manage consumption and reduce energy waste, including sending 28.3 million warning text messages to high-consumption clients. Gas supply to 5,540 vacant villas in Damavand, Firouzkuh, and Lavasan has been cut off. Additionally, 776 commercial units and 275 government entities have received warnings for high consumption. Residential subscribers who reduce their consumption by 10% are eligible for a 15% discount.
He emphasized ongoing programs to optimize energy use and reduce waste, urging all subscribers to cooperate in ensuring a stable gas supply by adhering to efficient consumption practices.
