According to official data, total natural gas consumption from June 28 to July 4 exceeded 4.3 billion cubic meters. Of this amount, over 2 billion cubic meters were used by power plants, more than 1.126 billion cubic meters by major industries, and approximately 1.14 billion cubic meters by households, commercial users, and smaller industries.
On the first day of the reporting period (June 28), power plants consumed 301.2 million cubic meters of gas. Major industries used 152.16 million cubic meters, while residential-commercial-minor sectors consumed 159.16 million cubic meters — totaling over 612 million cubic meters for the day.
On June 29, gas use rose in all three sectors. Power plants consumed 301.71 million cubic meters, major industries 158.76 million, and residential-commercial-minor sectors 169.57 million. The daily total reached more than 630 million cubic meters, driven by higher electricity demand for cooling amid rising temperatures.
June 30 marked the week’s peak gas consumption for power plants, which used more than 305 million cubic meters. That same day, major industries used 164.55 million cubic meters, while households and commercial users consumed 155.6 million, bringing total daily use to 625.53 million cubic meters.
On July 1, as the weekend approached, power plant consumption dropped to 292.21 million cubic meters. Major industries used 162.5 million, and the residential-commercial-minor sector used 161.4 million. Combined, daily consumption reached 616.11 million cubic meters.
Power plant consumption continued to fall on July 2, reaching 281.44 million cubic meters. Major industries used 161.76 million cubic meters, and the residential-commercial-minor sector consumed 166.09 million, totaling 609.29 million cubic meters for the day.
On July 3, power plants consumed 279.59 million cubic meters of gas. Major industries used 161.58 million cubic meters, and the residential-commercial-minor sector consumed 167.95 million, pushing the daily total slightly above 609 million cubic meters.
The week ended with power plants using 274.53 million cubic meters on July 4, followed by 165.26 million cubic meters for major industries and 158.88 million for the residential-commercial-minor sector — a combined total of 598.67 million cubic meters.
Analysis of the data shows that power plants remained the largest and most consistent consumers of natural gas throughout the week. In contrast, household and commercial usage fluctuated significantly, likely due to weather changes, weekend holidays, and consumption patterns. Major industrial usage stayed relatively steady, ranging from 152 million to 165 million cubic meters per day.
