Gas deliveries to power plants rise 5% amid full-capacity supply

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of National Iranian Gas Company announced that power plants are currently receiving gas at full capacity, reporting a more than 5% increase in gas deliveries to power plants in the current Iranian calendar year (1404).

Saeid Tavakoli, speaking on Saturday during a visit to the editorial office of the Shana News Agency on the occasion of Reporter’s Day, discussed the average gas deliveries to power plants. “Since the beginning of this year, over 5% more gas has been delivered to power plants compared to last year, and no gas-reliant power plant has faced shortages during the spring and summer,” he said.

Tavakoli noted that nearly 1.6 billion cubic meters of additional gas had been delivered to power plants this year, adding, “This measure has increased power plants’ oil and gas reserves to an acceptable level, and they are now receiving gas at full capacity.”
