Latest development status of South Pars Phase 11 reviewed

SHANA (Tehran) – The latest development status of South Pars Phase 11 was reviewed across various sectors, including the supply of drilling rigs and necessary equipment, the scheduling of loading and installation of the 11A wellhead jacket, the construction of the second platform for Phase 11.

The 20th meeting of the Joint Management Committee (JMC) for the development of South Pars Phase 11 was held on Sunday with the attendance of Touraj Dehqani, CEO of Pars Oil and Gas Company, Hamidreza Saqafi, CEO of Petropars, and members of the Phase 11 Joint Management Committee.

During the meeting, a report on the latest development status of South Pars Phase 11 was presented and reviewed.

The report covered various aspects, including the supply of drilling rigs and necessary equipment, the scheduling of loading and installation of the 11A wellhead jacket, the construction of the second platform for Phase 11, future plans, and the required budget for the upcoming Iranian year (to start March 21).

According to the report, the development plan for South Pars Phase 11 is the final phase of the 24-phase South Pars project. Its development has been assigned to Petropars under the framework of the new oil contract model (IPC).

With the production of two new wells on the 11B platform of South Pars, gas extraction from this border phase has increased since August 2024, reaching a current rate of 19 million cubic meters per day. Since the beginning of its development, cumulative gas extraction from South Pars Phase 11 has reached 225 billion cubic feet.
