Speaking at a cabinet meeting on Sunday evening, Massoud Pezeshkian called for the implementation of incentive policies for low-consumption users and penalties for high-consumption users.
“Government offices and bodiesshould be prioritized in the campaign to reduce energy consumption,” he said, urging ministers and executive directors to present their plans for managing and reducing energy use within their respective sectors.
During the meeting, cabinet members provided updates on actions taken, the status of ongoing projects, and progress in their areas of responsibility.
