Projects worth $45m approved by NIOC in four months 

SHANA (Tehran) – The director of integrated planning at the National Iranian South Oil Company announced the approval of 12 new capital projects worth 3.6 billion tomans (approximately $45 million) during the first four months of the 14th administration.

Mohsen Dehanzadeh highlighted the measures taken during this period, stating that the projects are pivotal in enhancing production capacity and developing oil industry infrastructure.

He added that an additional 2.1 billion tomans in funding was approved to complete 15 other capital projects aimed at sustaining production, reducing energy imbalances, and achieving long-term industry goals.

Boosting oil processing capacity, gas injection 

Dehanzadeh emphasized that, through strategic planning, 11 key capital projects related to increased production and environmental protection will be completed and operational by the end of the Iranian calendar year 1403 (March 2025).

These projects include increasing saline oil processing capacity by 110,000 barrels per day, creating new gas injection capacity of 1.5 billion cubic feet per day, and capturing 110 million cubic feet per day of associated petroleum gas.

Steps toward sustainable development 

The director stressed that the implementation of these projects will mark significant progress toward sustainable development, improved production efficiency, and reduced environmental pollution.

He noted that the approval and execution of these projects demonstrate the 14th administration’s and the oil industry’s strong commitment to addressing the country’s energy needs, protecting the environment, and enhancing the sector’s role in the national economy.
