Hassan Abbaszadeh emphasized that the petrochemical industry requires a stable electricity supply for continuous production. He noted that if petrochemical complexes were to rely on the national grid for electricity, production would be affected by fluctuations in the grid's output.
Abbaszadeh explained that petrochemical production complexes, during their construction, created a capacity of about 4,000 megawatts per hour and supply their electricity through their own power plants.
He added that any surplus electricity generated by these complexes is fed into the national grid.
The CEO highlighted that petrochemical complexes in the Khuzestan region, through Fajr Petrochemical, and in the Asaluyeh region, through Damavand Petrochemical, deliver surplus electricity to the grid.
He reiterated that from the beginning of the year through the end of Dey, petrochemical complexes have supplied approximately 1.8 million megawatts of electricity to the national grid.
