The visit aimed to assess current conditions and review recent developments at the site.
Paknejad said the facility was targeted by Zionist-American forces a week after the outbreak of war. He noted that safety operations were completed in a remarkably short timeframe through the dedication of colleagues at the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, alongside other units in the oil industry.
Following the attack, Paknejad added, planning began immediately to ensure uninterrupted fuel supply to residents in northern provinces and Tehran. He said his team implemented effective ideas, which helped the country move past a period of concern thanks to their efforts and God’s grace.
The minister emphasized that the vast oil industry is capable of handling crises swiftly by developing innovative solutions — citing the example of work done at the Rey facility.
Paknejad said his visit was also an opportunity to engage directly with staff, express gratitude for their hard work, and review actions taken to reduce challenges faced by citizens through the dedication of the nation’s industrious oil workers.
He concluded by acknowledging the efforts of employees at the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, the Oil Pipeline and Telecommunications Company, the Oil Engineering and Construction Company, the National Iranian Gas Company, and particularly Region 3 of the gas transmission operations.
