Esmaeil Seqab-Esfahani told reporters on the sidelines of the meeting on Wednesday that the charter was approved unanimously — an unprecedented consensus that he said resulted from the support of the president and other officials. “From today, the organization officially begins its work, and with the support of the people, the private sector, the Supreme Leader, the president and the heads of the branches of government, we will continue this path with strength,” he said.
He added that the government is also reviewing a special transformative plan. The current gasoline plan, he said, stems from previous government reviews and is not related to the organization. “However, the new transformation plan will be placed on the Cabinet’s agenda now that the charter has been finalized, and after the necessary revisions and conclusions, we will present it,” he said.
