President Masoud Pezeshkian presented the budget bill during an afternoon open session of the Parliament.
After submitting the bill, the president addressed the issue of water imbalance, describing the country’s water situation as a vital and urgent national concern. He said immediate and serious measures must be taken to address challenges related to water and water resources.
Emphasizing shared responsibility, Pezeshkian said the country belongs to everyone and must be fixed collectively. He invited all those who are able to help to step forward, saying the country is vast, its problems are many, and additional support and manpower are still needed.
The president stressed that cooperation is key to overcoming crises, thanking academics and university experts who have supported the government’s efforts. He reiterated that progress is only possible through collaboration and that such issues cannot be resolved by one group alone.
In closing, Pezeshkian said that while the government will carry out its duties, assistance from institutions and unity among stakeholders can achieve results that no single group could accomplish on its own.
