Speaking at a Cabinet meeting, Pezeshkian praised ministers for their work and described Iranians' resistance to pressure and injustice as an unmatched model of steadfastness. He said the government fights and resists enemies to avoid submitting to force and oppression — and that the same principle means officials cannot impose injustice on their own people, calling the two positions contradictory.

Pezeshkian said the future of the public, especially young people and various segments of society, must come first. He called the responsibility of addressing citizens' problems immense, saying policies and actions must be geared toward solving problems and developing the country.

He added that the government's approach is not shaped by political faction, party or gender, and that all available capacity will be used to serve the public. He said the administration's conduct will be grounded in fairness and justice, and that officials must avoid arrogance, noting that most disputes stem from self-interest.

Livelihoods a Core Government Priority

Pezeshkian called improving Iranians' living standards one of the government's fundamental duties, saying officials would fail in their obligations if they could not improve people's quality of life. He said every post and every level of responsibility must serve the public and help resolve everyday problems, adding that expanding education for young people and improving health care are top priorities.

Turning to regional and domestic conditions, Pezeshkian again cited Iranians' resistance to force and injustice, repeating that the government cannot resist external pressure while imposing pressure or injustice on its own citizens.

He also called for stronger coordination between government bodies, urging agencies and executive institutions to hold more joint meetings to improve coherence, avoid unproductive conflicts and speed up decision-making.

Pezeshkian additionally hailed the UNESCO World Heritage listing of Alamut Castle as a major achievement for the country, thanking everyone involved in the effort and calling it a milestone reached through collective work.

Some Cabinet members and ministers also presented updates on issues within their respective executive bodies during the meeting.
