According to the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, Ali-Akbar Arab-Ameri said that under a 2025 agreement between the distribution company and the Department of Environment, 50% of the diesel supplied to the Damavand and Parand power plants in Tehran province was required to meet the Euro 4 standard. He noted that the current 85% Euro 4 supply significantly exceeds that target and represents an 8% year-on-year rise.
He emphasized that all diesel fuel distributed at stations in Tehran meets the Euro 4 standard and contains less than 50 ppm of sulfur. Delivering higher-quality fuels to power plants near major urban centers remains a priority for the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, he said.
Arab-Ameri added that this year, for the first time, 420 million liters of low-sulfur fuel oil were delivered to power plants designated by the Department of Environment.
