Oil depots operations continue after incident

SHANA (Tehran) - The supply and distribution director of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) confirmed that the oil depots in Shahran and Rey remain operational despite last night’s fire caused by an attack by the Zionist regime.

Ali-Akbar Arab-Ameri stated there are no issues with fuel supply.
Arab-Ameri, speaking Sunday, expressed condolences for the deaths of military commanders, prominent scientists, and civilians in the Zionist regime’s attack. Regarding the overnight assault on the Shahran and Rey oil depots and the resulting fires, he said the two facilities supply fuel to Tehran, and emergency responders arrived immediately after the incident.
Arab-Ameri noted that firefighting efforts began within minutes and the blaze was contained. To ensure stable fuel supply for Tehran, alternate fuel reserves were activated, and product distribution from other depots was prioritized.

He emphasized that the situation is under control, with both depots fully operational and no disruptions to fuel supply.

The Shahran and Rey oil depots were targeted late Saturday in the latest escalation of attacks. Due to precautionary measures in place amid current conditions, fuel reserves at these depots had already been reduced.
