The company responded to false reports circulating on social media and some news outlets claiming an attack on its site, clarifying that the rumors were unfounded. 

According to the company, the confusion stemmed from a case of mistaken identity involving a memorial for Shahid Tondguyan in Abadan, which is unrelated to the petrochemical facility. 

Shahid Tondguyan Petrochemical Company thanked the public for their vigilance and urged media outlets and users to verify information before sharing it, avoiding the spread of unconfirmed rumors. 

The statement follows a terrorist attack by the Zionist regime early Friday, June 13, targeting Tehran and several other cities, which resulted in the deaths of military commanders, scientists and civilians.
