Oil depot inventory adjusted before Shahran fire incident

SHANA (Tehran) - The Tehran Fire Department spokesperson stated that the warehouse that caught fire in the Shahran district contained petroleum products other than gasoline.

Jalal Maleki noted that necessary precautions had been taken in advance, and the depot's inventory had already been adjusted.

Maleki, speaking early Sunday (June 15), confirmed that two to three storage tanks were involved in the blaze, emphasizing that they held derivatives of oil, not gasoline.

He added that due to the circumstances, safety measures had been prearranged, and the tank inventory had been reduced beforehand.

The fire department spokesperson stressed that firefighters are currently working to contain the flames.

The Shahran oil depot was attacked late Saturday (June 14) as part of ongoing aggressions by the Zionist regime. Emergency and operational teams arrived at the scene immediately after the incident.
