The agreement was signed Friday on the sidelines of the second day of the 29th International Oil, Gas, Refining & Petrochemical Exhibition (Iran Oil Show 2025). It aligns with policies to reduce air pollution in major cities, promote clean transportation under the Clean Air Law, and manage fuel consumption as per the Economic Council's resolution. Signatories included:
- Mohammad-Sadeq Azimifar, CEO of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company
- Sediqeh Torabi, Deputy for Human Environment at the Department of Environment
- Mohammad Sadeq Motamedian, Governor General of Tehran
- Mohsen Hormozi, Deputy for Transportation and Traffic at Tehran Municipality
- Farshad Moghimi, CEO of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran
- Mohammad Ahmadi, CEO of the National Post Company of Iran
- Mohammad-Hassan Ebrahimipour, Technical and Engineering Deputy of the Traffic Police
The agreement aims to:
- Promote clean transportation and reduce air pollution in major Iranian cities
- Save fuel by modernizing and electrifying motorcycle fleets, focusing on postal, police, and urban work motorcycles
- Utilize financial resources approved by the Economic Council for clean transportation development
- Transform fuel distribution by expanding charging stations for electric motorcycles
Under the agreement:
- 1,200 electric motorcycles will be allocated to the National Post Company of Iran in Tehran
- 300 will go to the Traffic Police
- 1,000 will be provided through collaboration between the Oil Industry Research and Technology Fund and Zero Motorcycles
- 7,500 will be allocated to Digikala’s logistics fleet
- 10,000 will go to the Golrang Group’s delivery fleet
The 29th International Oil, Gas, Refining & Petrochemical Exhibition (Iran Oil Show 2025)runs for four days at the Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds. Visitors can attend from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
