He noted that a contract has been signed to ensure a steady supply of feedstock for Hegmataneh Petrochemical, enabling continuous production at the facility. This, he said, will help meet domestic demand for certain medical equipment, reduce imports, and achieve self-sufficiency—ultimately saving foreign currency for the country.
Mohseni-Ejei stressed that efforts to boost production capacity nationwide must be sustained rather than temporary. He warned that the judiciary would closely monitor compliance with the feedstock supply agreement and take firm legal action against any negligence or obstruction.
"The products manufactured at Hegmataneh Petrochemical are vital to the country’s medical and healthcare needs, making this a top priority," he said. "Sustained production here will eliminate the need to import certain medical supplies, promoting self-reliance and conserving foreign currency—a critical goal under current conditions."
During the visit, Hassan Abbaszadeh, CEO of the National Petrochemical Company, provided updates on the facility’s latest developments.
