According to its nine-month performance report, the company produced more than 924,000 tons of sweet gas and around 17,000 tons of sulfur in its gas refinery.
Additionally, it produced approximately 300,000 tons of ethane, over 536,000 tons of methane, about 87,000 tons of LPG in the ethane recovery unit, and more than 1.121 million tons of methanol.
The company also generated over 529 million cubic meters of industrial air in the ASU unit and more than 18 million cubic meters of industrial water in the RO unit as part of its utility services.
In total, Bushehr Petrochemical Company recorded the production of more than 2.984 million tons of petrochemical products and over 547 million cubic meters of utilities during this period. This includes more than 1.22 million tons of final products, 1.22 million tons of intermediate products, and around 300,000 tons of extracted ethane, which was injected into the regional pipeline.
The extracted ethane will serve as feedstock for the olefin unit once the second phase of the national mega-project, Bushehr Petrochemical Company, is operational.
The key factors behind this level of production include the upstream gas chain, the maximized supply of utilities, and the tireless efforts of the workforce.
Bushehr Petrochemical Company is the only petrochemical complex in the country with an integrated gas refinery, investing in upstream operations. After processing sweet gas through the ethane recovery unit, methane is directed to the methanol unit, while ethane will feed the olefin unit after its commissioning.
SHANA (Tehran) – Bushehr Petrochemical Company produced approximately 3 million tons of petrochemical products and over 547 million cubic meters of utility services in the first nine months of the current Iranian year (started March 20, 2024).
