“Nowruz and Laylat al-Qadr are two rays of the same light, two manifestations of one truth: the truth of transformation and the light of change that shapes our destiny,” the president said. “We stay awake on these nights to purify our souls and renew ourselves, striving to reach our destined potential. But our worth and the worth of our nation are not defined by where we stand today; they are far greater and more dignified.”

Pezeshkian expressed determination to elevate Iran’s standing through unity, solidarity, and collective effort. “As we begin a new cycle of time, we will set our worth higher, more honorable, and more dignified than before,” he said. “With the belief and will of our people, we will work tirelessly to build an Iran free from injustice, corruption, and inequality.”

The president acknowledged the challenges faced by Iranians, including inflation and economic hardships, and vowed to prioritize improving livelihoods, healthcare, education, and housing. “I deeply understand the struggles of our people, and we will find solutions to these problems with the participation and support of all Iranians,” he said.

Pezeshkian also stressed the importance of unity and national cohesion, urging Iranians to avoid division and work together for progress. “If we want to change our current situation, we must take the path of reform in all areas of imbalance, with the help of experts, academics, economists, cultural figures, and the media,” he said. “Together, we can build a bright future and a proud nation for ourselves and our children.”

The president highlighted the role of private sector investment in driving economic growth, job creation, and national development. He noted that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has consistently encouraged greater participation of the private sector in the economy.

Pezeshkian also paid tribute to the late president Ebrahim Raisi and other public servants who lost their lives in the line of duty, as well as the innocent victims of violence in Gaza, Lebanon, and beyond. “We honor the memory of those who sacrificed their lives in service to our nation and the oppressed around the world,” he said.

In closing, the president expressed hope for a year of peace, friendship, and prosperity for all Iranians, both at home and abroad. “May this Nowruz bring a new chapter in Iran’s history, marked by pride and progress for our nation and all its people,” he said. “Every day is Nowruz, and may your Nowruz be victorious.”

“In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

O Changer of hearts and sights, 

O Controller of night and day, 

O Transformer of times and states, 

Change our condition to the best of states.

As the new year begins and a new day dawns on Laylat al-Qadr, I extend my warmest greetings to all Iranians, both at home and abroad, as well as to our neighbors and all who celebrate Nowruz. I wish for peace, friendship, and happiness for all.

To my fellow Iranians gathered around the Haft-Sin table, whether at home, at work, or on duty, with family or far from loved ones, I send my greetings.

Nowruz and Laylat al-Qadr are two rays of the same light, two manifestations of one truth: the truth of transformation and the light of change that shapes our destiny. The Quran is the book of life, guiding humanity from darkness to light, from ignorance to enlightenment, from arrogance and lethargy to effort and dynamism, and to the establishment of justice in society. Today, despite the challenges we face, we must decide on these nights to change our course and let the Quran guide us, supported by angels and spirits, until we tear away the veil of darkness and reach the dawn of light.

Nowruz, with this same perspective, opens a new day and a fresh season before us. As Imam Ali (AS) instructed Malik al-Ashtar, ‘Do not abandon good traditions that have united the people and brought them prosperity.’ Nowruz is one such noble tradition, rooted in Iran’s history and affirmed by Islam.

We stay awake on these nights to purify our souls and renew ourselves, striving to reach our destined potential. But our worth and the worth of our nation are not defined by where we stand today; they are far greater and more dignified.

Laylat al-Qadr is a glorious night, a night of spiritual joy from hearing the voice of God and the revelation of the Quran, and a night of mourning for the martyrdom of Imam Ali (AS), the voice of human justice. He endured 25 years of silence for unity and worked to establish a just government, ultimately becoming a martyr for justice. Even in his final moments, he commanded that his killer be treated justly.

As Shahriar said: 

‘Except for Ali, who tells his son, 

Now that my killer is your prisoner, treat him with mercy.’

The world and humanity have always thirsted for such justice, a lost essence of human nature.

My dear compatriots, 

In the past year, we all endured hardships and difficulties. We honor the memory of the hardworking and tireless President, the beloved martyr Raisi, and his companions, as well as the leaders of the resistance. We also honor the innocent martyrs of Gaza, Lebanon, and all the women, men, and children who have been unjustly killed by a genocidal regime backed by self-proclaimed human rights advocates.

As we begin a new cycle of time, we will set our worth higher, more honorable, and more dignified than before. With the belief and will of our people, we will work tirelessly to build an Iran free from injustice, corruption, and inequality.

Dear people of Iran, 

I deeply understand the struggles of inflation and rising costs, and we will find solutions to these problems with the participation and support of all Iranians. Improving livelihoods, healthcare, education, and housing will be our priority, and we will strive to bring fundamental changes.

We are determined to change. Continuing with past methods of management and life will only worsen imbalances. ‘Indeed, God will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.’ If we want to end this situation, we must take the path of reform in all areas of imbalance, with the help of experts, academics, economists, cultural figures, and the media. Together, we can build a bright future and a proud nation for ourselves and our children. We can elevate Iran to the dignity it deserves, relying on the invaluable capacities and unique abilities within our beloved homeland. With national unity and cohesion, we can build an unshakable strength capable of withstanding the toughest trials and emerging victorious.

On this Laylat al-Qadr, let us pledge to reject all injustice, oppression, discrimination, and inequality, and strive with all our might to achieve this goal.

From the beginning of our administration, we have prioritized private and public sector investment. I have personally pursued this important matter. We need to create an environment for people to engage in economic activities and investment. Through investment, production will thrive, employment will increase, livelihoods will improve, and the country will progress. The Supreme Leader has always encouraged and supported greater participation of the private sector in the economy, emphasizing this in naming the new year.

To achieve our national goals and the vision set by our beloved leader, we need a change in perspective, internal unity, and cohesion, avoiding polarization. Healthy relations with neighboring countries and the world are our priority, aiming for a world filled with peace, brotherhood, and humanity, free from terror, massacre, and the atrocities of criminals and oppressors. We will strive throughout the new year to continually renew ourselves.

May Nowruz remain yours, 

For the beginning and the end are yours. 

That first spring morning, 

When the nightingale brings joyful news, it is yours. 

If the sun showers love from the sky, 

The sun is yours; the love is yours; the dawn is yours.

On this new day and this Laylat al-Qadr, God willing, we will usher in a good year and open a new chapter in Iran’s history. The pride of Iran and all Iranians is our national aspiration.

May every day be Nowruz,
