The minister of oil’s message on the occasion of Nowruz and the beginning of spring is as follows:
“The morning breeze and the scent of Nowruz have risen, bringing joy to friends and fortune to the victorious.
Dear employees and esteemed families of the oil industry,
As the ancient Nowruz approaches, a symbol of nature’s grandeur and the promise of life’s renewal, coinciding with the sacred nights of Laylat al-Qadr and the martyrdom of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (AS), I extend my heartfelt gratitude for your tireless efforts and sacrifices. Despite unprecedented challenges, the past year, by the grace of Almighty God and your unwavering determination and faith, became a shining chapter in the history of the oil industry.
My esteemed colleagues on land and at sea, from oil and gas fields to the platforms of the Persian Gulf, you have proven that the oil industry reaches its pinnacle through your dedication and spirit. A 30 million cubic meter increase in gas production, the management of refining and distributing over one billion cubic meters of this clean fuel daily, unprecedented growth in the production and distribution of strategic products, the signing of a historic $17 billion contract for pressure boosting in the South Pars gas field relying on domestic contractors’ capabilities, and intelligent energy management during a harsh winter are just a few examples of the round-the-clock efforts of oil industry employees and a testament to the indomitable will of the Iranian people in the face of any challenge.
The convergence of Nowruz and the holy month of Ramadan is a reminder of the symbolic connection between ‘nature’ and ‘spirituality.’ Just as Ramadan is a month of self-improvement and serving the people, Nowruz reminds us of hope for a better future and renewing our commitment to human values.
This coincidence is an opportunity to draw inspiration from these two great traditions, to stride forward in the path of national development, and to strengthen the spirit of sacrifice and responsibility in society, serving God’s creation selflessly.
For the year ahead, relying on Almighty God, domestic capabilities, and strategic planning, we will pursue goals such as addressing the oil industry’s infrastructure challenges, further leveraging energy diplomacy with neighbors, implementing major projects, increasing productivity, and solidifying Iran’s position as the energy hub of the region.
I also extend my sincere gratitude to the dear families of employees, who have always been supporters and pillars of this industry.
For you and all the beloved people of Iran, I wish a year filled with health, blessings, and success under God’s grace.”
