Mohammad Rashidi noted that Iran's oil and gas industry has made significant progress despite facing tough sanctions.
“Fortunately, the development and advancement of the oil sector compared to previous years have been remarkable, even under current sanction conditions,” he said.
The MP highlighted the rising energy production in the country, which is being matched by growing consumption.
“The energy imbalance we are currently facing did not occur overnight. However, according to this year’s data, we were unable to store fuel in a timely manner. We hope this issue will be resolved by next year,” he added.
Rashidi emphasized that addressing energy imbalances has been included in Article 46 of the Seventh Development Plan, which mandates the establishment of an optimization organization.
“Implementing this plan is essential to solving the energy shortage issue,” he said.
He concluded by stating, “I believe the Oil Ministry’s efforts to ensure energy supply, despite limited resources, high fuel consumption, and extreme temperature drops in parts of the country, are commendable and valuable.”
