Shana quoted Aghili as saying that fuel delivery to power plants and electricity generators has risen equivalent to 7.5 million cubic meters per day when compared with a similar period last year, of which 91 percent is natural gas.
Currently, 323 million cubic meters of natural gas/liters are delivered to 107 large-scale power plants and 400 electricity generators on a daily basis, he said
“Fuel consumption is on the rise in summer so that natural gas delivery to the non-major industries and major industries including petrochemicals, steel, cement, and refining has risen by 10 mcm/d and 20 mcm/d respectively when compared with the similar period last year, the NIGC official said.
Aghili, in the end, thanked the gas industry workforce, especially those working in hot weather in the south of the country, for keeping the delivery of gas and electricity stable.
