Talking to SHANA, Mostafa Nakhaee, the spokesman of the Parliament's Energy Committee, appreciated the ministry’s rapidity and added the officials dealt with the malfunction immediately and fuel was supplied at gas stations manually hours after the disruption hit the system on Monday morning.
“The experience the Oil Ministry gained in a 2021 cyberattack on the smart fuel system helped reconnect it in the shortest possible time,” the MP continued.
There is a need to bolster gas stations’ cybersecurity, the lawmaker underlined.
