Hadi Beigi-Nejad told SHANA the ministry and the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company’s great efforts and experience helped fix the problem very soon and supply fuel manually.
The Parliament’s Energy Committee discussed the reasons behind the fuel system malfunction last week, said the lawmaker, adding the Oil Ministry is also collecting data about the problem before the committee holds another session to pursue its investigation.
A disruption to gas stations halted supply last Monday, prompting the ministry to mobilize its staff immediately and reconnect the smart fuel system.
Talking to SHANA on Sunday, Jafar Salari-Nassab, the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) managing director, said over 96 percent of gas stations are supplying fuel with smart cards at subsidized prices.
