German Giant Industries Heading to Tehran

TEHRAN, Feb. 01 (Shana) -- An industrial delegation from Germany will visit Tehran on Wednesday to discuss future cooperation with an Iran fresh from removal of stifling sanctions.

The delegation, headed by the German Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, will meet with Iranian petroleum officials at the Minister of Petroleum in Tehran.

Accompanying the delegation are Symens executive deputy and a member of the board of directors of the company.

During the visit, unblocking South Pars equipment will be discussed with Symens officials.  

Symens withheld certain equipment Iran needed for completed offshore gas facilities at South Pars gas field after sanctions were imposed on Iran and has agreed to give them to Iran now that the international restrictions on Tehran's nuclear issue have been lifted.
