Mexico"s state-run Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex) said its 36-in. Guanajuato-Guadalajara natural gas pipeline in central Mexico suffered two explosions and related fires on July 5, while a nearby 24-in. gasoline pipeline sprang a leak.

There were no reports of deaths or injuries, and Pemex said an investigation was under way into the causes of the incidents.

 

The first explosion took place at a valve near the Salamanca-Valle de Santiago highway, while the second occurred on a section of pipeline in Celaya, Guanajuato state.

 

The gasoline line in Valle de Santiago, Guanajuato state, suffered a leak the same day.
