NISOC takes major step toward sustainable oil production

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) announced that the company aims to increase its oil production to more than 2.8 million barrels per day by the end of this year.

According to the company, Ebrahim Piramoun, during a meeting reviewing the latest production requirements attended by Hamid Bovard, CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company, emphasized the need for sustainable development.

He stated that achieving this target depends on implementing development projects, continuing new well drilling, carrying out repair and maintenance operations, and the persistent efforts of employees across all departments.

Piramoun highlighted gas flaring reduction projects as a key focus of the meeting, adding that the latest progress in this area was reviewed and executive decisions were made to accelerate project completion. These projects not only enhance production efficiency but also play a significant role in reducing emissions and protecting the environment.

The CEO of NISOC further noted that the meeting addressed production plans and their progress, stressing the need to secure essential resources, including drilling rig fleets, coil tubing equipment, and desalination skids to address capacity and processing challenges.

In closing, Piramoun said, "With the support of the National Iranian Oil Company and the collaboration of managers and employees, we will take a greater step this year than last, moving toward sustainable growth and responsible production."
