Uninterrupted efforts of Iran’s oil industry during 12-day imposed war

SHANA (Tehran) - A member of Iran’s Parliament praised the vital role of oil industry workers during the 12-day conflict, stressing that through their tireless efforts and exceptional bravery, they ensured the country’s fuel production and distribution never stopped — not even for a single day.

Mojtaba Yousefi highlighted the unmatched role of several agencies, including the Ministry of Oil and the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, during the conflict.
“The Oil Ministry undertook an unprecedented effort during this period,” he said, “to the extent that on one of the war days, the country recorded its highest-ever gasoline consumption.”
Yousefi added that with effective management by the government and the Oil Ministry, production of petroleum products increased during the conflict. “Thanks to the efforts of 160,000 operational staff across the fuel supply and distribution chain, the continuity of the national fuel network was maintained,” he said. “Even during the early days of the war, 200 million liters of fuel were distributed daily — an all-time high.”
The lawmaker also commended the commitment of oil industry workers and employees throughout the 12-day war. “What we witnessed was nothing short of a national mobilization,” he said. “I extend my sincere appreciation to all personnel across the sector for their invaluable contributions.”
Yousefi emphasized that the dedication and courage shown by oil industry workers during this imposed war will be remembered in Iran’s history. “They did not shy away from their responsibilities,” he said. “They stood firm to ensure there would be no interruption in the production and distribution of petroleum products — especially gasoline.”
