Ebrahim Piramoun, speaking at a joint meeting with executives from the Bid Boland Persian Gulf Gas Refining Company, stated: "Capturing associated petroleum gas is highly important for both parties, given the existing imbalance in the country and the urgent need to supply feedstock to petrochemical plants."
He stressed the need for continuous monitoring and accelerating the implementation of subsidiary projects by the Bid Boland Persian Gulf Gas Refining Company.
71% progress in flare gas recovery project
Javanshir Sadeq, CEO of the Bid Boland Persian Gulf Gas Refining Company, noted that the flare gas recovery project is 71% complete.
Despite challenges, he said, "Through the efforts of our colleagues and collaboration with domestic private companies, the required compressors for the facilities have been procured and will be operational by the end of this year."
He also announced the completion and launch of the Rag Sefid 1 (remaining two rows), Aghajari 2, and Pazanan projects by the end of the Iranian calendar year 1404 (March 2026).
He expressed hope that with satisfactory progress and set targets, these projects would become operational.
According to the report, NISOC, with an investment of over $1.1 billion from the Bid Boland Persian Gulf Gas Refining Company, has begun extensive collaboration to prevent gas flaring, optimize the capture and use of associated gas, supply petrochemical feedstock, and enhance well production through gas injection into reservoirs.
