SPGC focuses on reducing flaring

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of South Pars Gas Complex (SPGC) highlighted the flaring reduction project as one of the facility's most important initiatives, stating, "In the year 1404 (2025-26), we must focus all efforts and creativity on reducing flaring."

Gholamabbas Hosseini made the remarks Tuesday (April 8) during the first board meeting of South Pars Gas Complex in the new year. He praised the dedication of the facility’s innovative workforce, whose efforts throughout the year—especially during winter—ensured a stable gas supply for households as well as commercial and industrial needs.

Referring to the Leader’s designation of 1404 as the "Year of Investment for Production," Hosseini noted that South Pars, as the largest gas and byproducts producer in Iran and the Middle East, has formed a specialized task force to align with this year’s theme.

He added that in the new year, the complex will prioritize production stability by strengthening infrastructure and enhancing workforce capabilities to achieve optimal performance.

Emphasizing the flaring reduction project as a key initiative across South Pars refineries, Hosseini stressed, "We must concentrate all resources and innovation on minimizing flaring in the coming year."

He urged managers and employees to fully support production efforts, address challenges, and follow strategic plans to overcome obstacles in the "Year of Investment for Production."
