Mousa Ahmadi noted that the oil minister has successfully strengthened cohesion within the ministry by forming a new structure and selecting an experienced, fresh team.
He stated, “With proper planning, we can certainly outline a bright future for the oil industry.”
Ahmadi highlighted the Oil Ministry’s effective collaboration with the parliamentary Energy Committee, particularly in budget discussions, which helped achieve key goals. He added, “Another positive development is the close relationship between the specialized parliamentary committee and the oil minister himself. Committee members fully support Mr. Paknejad and the oil industry.”
Efficient fuel supply during harsh winter
Ahmadi also referenced the severe winter of 2024-25 and the Oil Ministry’s measures, saying, “Despite an early and extremely cold winter last year, the Oil Ministry ensured household gas supplies and maintained fuel deliveries to power plants under difficult conditions.”
Recalling the sanctions imposed on the oil minister in late 2024, Ahmadi said, “Our adversaries constantly monitor our officials and target constructive efforts with sanctions. These sanctions confirm that the Oil Ministry is performing well and on the right path.”
He added, “Since the revolution, we have faced various sanctions and know how to overcome or bypass them. They should know we will continue our work without fear of sanctions.”
Ahmadi also dismissed past claims that the withdrawal of companies like Shell and Total from Iran would halt oil industry progress, stating, “The oil industry’s development never stopped after their exit. Sanctions can present opportunities, and we will use them to our advantage. We know how to navigate sanctions.”
