Gov’t spox: Oil minister sanctions are illegal

SHANA (Tehran) – The government spokesperson, referring to the US action to sanction Iran's oil minister, stated that the "illegal sanctions" demonstrate that the oil minister has been performing his duties effectively.

Fatemeh Mohajerani, during a press conference on Monday, congratulated the nation on the anniversary of the nationalization of Iran's oil industry, observed on the 29th of Esfand (March 19).

She addressed the US sanctions against Iran's oil minister, emphasizing that boosting economic growth and addressing imbalances remain among the government's top priorities for the upcoming year.

These programs continue to be a serious focus for the president, with related meetings being held regularly.

The government spokesperson highlighted that the signing of $17 billion in contracts within the Oil Ministry this year, structured across four agreements, is expected to create 17,000 jobs.
