Mohammad Bahrami emphasized that they are urging the government to expedite the approval and issuance of its charter as soon as possible.
Bahrami, speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, noted that the country is facing economic warfare, making it essential to unite, show solidarity, and collaborate to help the nation overcome these challenges.
He highlighted that one of the key issues in the energy sector is the disparity between the actual cost of energy and the price offered to consumers. Bahrami argued that if energy prices were adjusted to reflect their true cost, smuggling would decrease. He added that if prices had been gradually increased from the beginning, the current problems would not exist.
Bahrami reiterated that Parliament, particularly the Energy Committee, is focused on establishing the Energy Optimization Organization and is pressing the government to quickly approve and issue its charter.
He also mentioned that the government had allocated a consolidated budget for the year 1404, but the commission pushed for a separate budget for the organization.
As a result, the 1404 budget for the Energy Optimization Organization has now been approved independently, ensuring that the government cannot tap into its funds to cover shortfalls elsewhere.
