SHANA (Tehran) - The Deputy Minister for International Affairs and Commerce at Iran’s Ministry of Oil announced that all members of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) condemned Israel's hostile actions against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Speaking on the sidelines of the 26th Ministerial Meeting of the GECF in Tehran, Ali-Mohammad Mousavi said, "The forum members emphasized their unified stance against Israeli attacks on Iran, and this issue was appropriately addressed during the meeting."

Mousavi added that while GECF members primarily focus on enhancing collaboration in the gas industry, there was unanimous agreement in condemning Israel's hostile actions.

He noted that member countries highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation in the gas sector.

"As this meeting followed COP29, many member representatives addressed clean energy initiatives and the adoption of advanced technologies. There was also an emphasis on aligning member states' positions on these issues," the deputy minister said.

Mousavi announced that the host for next year's GECF meeting would be determined during the second part of today's session.

The 26th GECF Ministerial Meeting is being held in Tehran.
