Kerman and Ravar representative to the Parliament, Shabaz Hasanpour, made the remarks adding that supporting first-time production and knowledge-based activities will lead to mass production to the benefit of oil and gas companies.

He told Shana reporter that supporting knowledge-based companies is a necessity, adding that the first-time production and knowledge-based companies should be able to supply governmental companies and organizations with their products without passing bidding procedures, implying the creation of a kind of market for their products.  

“Oil and gas industries are heavily reliant on technology, using knowledge-based products the most.”, he said, noting “these products are valuable and even we have been able to export some of these items including catalysts.” The member of parliament said.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he said that utmost support of knowledge-based activities as the economic arms of countries paves the ground for flourishing the economy.

According to Hassanpour, the country’s success in thwarting sanctions has been the result of reliance on domestic knowledge-based capabilities.

The country has a great potential in the area of first-time production and knowledge-based activities and by relying on these potentials we will be able to meet a great part of the country’s needs to strategic items, he concluded.
