According to the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Abdolkarim Alimohammadi stated that the first well drilled in the Yadvaran field has been handed over to the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC), the employer overseeing the development of West Karun fields in Khuzestan Province, for production and operation.
Alimohammadi noted that two drilling rigs, Fat’h 92 and Fat’h 28, from NDC’s fleet are stationed at the site. He added that drilling and completion of the second well are in the final stages and are expected to be finished within the next two weeks.
The deputy CEO emphasized that Yadvaran is a shared oil field. The project, executed under an engineering, procurement, and drilling (EPD) contract, began in May last year, with Well No. 43 being the first to be completed and delivered to the employer.
Alimohammadi added that the Fat’h 28 rig is currently drilling and completing Well No. 42 at the site. Plans are also underway to mobilize a third rig to accelerate the project’s progress.
