Mohammad Reza Yazdani told reporters on Monday that inauguration of the second phase of the plant would add 414,000 cubic meters to the storage capacity of petrochemicals by Assaluyeh Petrochemical Green Tanks Compony, adding the phase would come online in a few days.
He pointed to the strategic importance of this company in the petrochemical industry, and stated: “The existence of sufficient space for product storage gives the production facilities in the region the assurance that in case of disruptions in loading and export, they will continue to produce and store products in green tanks without interruption.”
According to the CEO of Assaluyeh Petrochemical Green Tanks Compony, all kinds of liquid and gas products produced by the petrochemical complexes in Phase-2 of Assaluyeh are stored in the tanks of this company; methanol, propane, butane, various products of ethylene glycol, light naphtha, ethylene, butadiene, styrene monomer, propylene, normal and isobutanol and diethylhexanol are some of the items that are stored in the tanks with the required capacities and based on production from 6,000 to 720,000 cubic meters.
He further said that the third phase of the storage plant is being planned for with an estimated investment of roughly $620 million.
