According to the Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), the deputy head of a project to develop phases 22 to 24 of the massive offshore gas field said the production capacity of the platform was 500 million cubic feet per day (14 mcm/d).
Ali Asghar Sadeghi said the flare of Platform 23 was lit after hookup and commissioning operations of the structure which took over a fortnight despite harsh climatic conditions.
He further said that 28 mcm/d of gas was being supplied by the first two platforms of the project, adding inauguration of the third platform had brought the phases’ production capacity to 42 mcm/d.
Each of the platforms of the project are operating with 500 mcf/d of gas production capacity as well as 20,000 b/d of gas condensate, 100 tons/day of sulfur and 250,000 tons/year of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and ethane.
Sadeghi further added that launching the last platform of the phases would take place soon.
