An analysis of nationwide gas consumption patterns shows that the household and commercial sectors continue to account for a large share of total demand, with consumption rising as the country approaches the peak of the cold season.
NIGC data indicate that gas use in the household, commercial and small industrial sectors on Monday showed a slight decline compared with previous days. Despite the modest drop, these sectors still consume the majority of the country’s gas supplies, while power plants and major industries receive a smaller share.
The National Iranian Gas Company stressed that demand management in the household and commercial sectors plays a decisive role in maintaining network stability and meeting the needs of other sectors. The company urged consumers to follow optimal consumption patterns and conserve gas to help ensure a stable nationwide supply, particularly during colder days, noting that efficient use also facilitates gas deliveries to industries.
