An analysis of nationwide gas consumption patterns shows that the household and commercial sectors continue to account for a large share of total demand. With the approach of the coldest period of the year, demand is expected to keep rising. Data from the National Iranian Gas Company indicate that gas use in these sectors totaled 650 million cubic meters on the day, up slightly from a day earlier.

According to the report, household and commercial users consume the bulk of the country’s gas supply, while power plants and major industries receive a smaller share of delivered gas.

The National Iranian Gas Company emphasized that effective consumption management in the household and commercial sectors is critical to maintaining network stability and meeting the needs of other sectors. The company urged consumers to follow optimal usage patterns and conserve gas to help ensure stable supplies nationwide. Observing consumption guidelines, particularly during cold days, not only supports network stability but also helps facilitate gas deliveries to industrial users.
