An analysis of nationwide gas use shows that household and commercial consumption remains high, with demand continuing to rise as the peak of the cold season approaches. Company figures indicate that consumption in these sectors on Jan. 6 edged down slightly from previous days but remained elevated overall.
Despite the marginal decline, households and commercial users continue to account for the largest share of national gas consumption, while power plants and large industries receive a smaller portion of delivered gas.
The National Iranian Gas Company said managing consumption in the household and commercial sectors is critical to maintaining network stability and ensuring supplies for other users. The company urged consumers to follow optimal usage patterns and conserve gas, particularly during cold days, to help sustain nationwide supply and facilitate deliveries to industry.
