NISOC to Sign Contracts, MoUs with Intl. Companies

TEHRAN, Nov. 23 (Shana) -- Director of the Technical Affairs Department at National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) Hamid Deris said on Wednesday that in the weeks to come, several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) for cooperation will be signed between the NISOC and international consortiums and companies.

Deris made the remark in a ceremony for inking of a MoU and Non-Disclosure Agreement between the NISOC and Pergas international consortium.

"Most probably, the NISOC will sign a MoU for cooperation with Schlumberger, which is the first consortium with which the NISOC signs a MoU for cooperation and the NDA. In the coming weeks, another MoU will also be signed in the company."

The NISOC and International Pergas Consortium on Wednesday signed MoU and NDA to launch study on two Karanj and Shadgan fields.

Pergas is a leading international Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Maintenance, and Project Management company, and is a prominent turnkey contractor in the oil & gas industry within the Eastern Hemisphere. It also provides services to clients in the petrochemical, mining, and power sectors. The original company was established in 2000 and has expanded to have branches and offices in a number of countries around the World.

The company enjoys competitive positioning for the provision of EPC/EPCI services to the oil industry both onshore and offshore, with a particular focus on the toughest and most technologically challenging projects - activities in remote areas, deepwater, gas, “difficult” oil.  Pergas' drilling services continue to be distinctive, operating in many of the oil and gas industry’s ‘hotspots’, frequently in synergy with its onshore and offshore activities and it's due to these challenging projects that our turnover broke through the €100m barrier in 2011/12, and reached over €210m in 2014.

Central to the expansion of Pergas has been the successful partnering with complementary operators. As well as being able to offer a wide range of services to these operators, Pergas is able to offer ready access to the Iranian market.
