NIGC Delivering Gas to Remote Regions as CNG

TEHRAN, July 25 (Shana) -- An official with National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) said the company is supplying gas to 4 regions of the country in compressed natural gas (CNG) form.

Naser Ebrahimi, director of gas supply department of NIGC, told a training course on Monday that so far 20,000 out of 40,000 villages of more than 20 families are receiving gas from NIGC as Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh has decreed so. 

He said gas delivery to 5,700 other villages is being considered by the company. 

He said besides laying down pipelines, CNG cargoes are used for delivering gas to remote villages and so far 4 regions in the country have been earmarked to get the supplies.
