Official data from the National Iranian Gas Company show that gas consumption in these sectors totaled 662 million cubic meters on Jan. 5, marking a slight decline compared with previous days.
Despite the modest decrease, the household and commercial sectors continue to account for the largest share of the country’s gas consumption, while power plants and major industries receive a smaller portion of delivered gas.
Observing consumption guidelines and using standard heating equipment play a decisive role in maintaining the stability of the gas supply network and preventing added strain during peak demand periods.
The National Iranian Gas Company emphasized that managing consumption in the household and commercial sectors is critical to network stability and meeting demand in other sectors. The company urged subscribers to follow optimal consumption patterns and conserve energy to help ensure a stable gas supply nationwide.
