RIPI, CGG Review Oil Industry Research Ties

TEHRAN, March 2 (Shana) – Iran’s Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) and the Paris-based geophysical services company CGG have discussed technical cooperation in the field of geological, geophysical and reservoir capabilities.

CGG’s Sales Director Daniel Van Hulle who visited RIPI on Tuesday said the French firm is studying the investment opportunities and grounds in Iran’s oil and gas industry since removal of sanctions have provided an appropriate setting for additional bilateral cooperation.

He said RIPI has taken effective R&D measures and added, “We are determined to resume cooperate with RIPI based on a scheduled program following withdrawal of sanctions.”

“During meeting with RIPI officials, we managed to reach a common language on technological cooperation,” Van Hulle added.
