Mousa Ahmadi said the committee will dedicate greater efforts this year to addressing challenges in the energy industry, citing the country's current circumstances. He said the commission is prepared to use its full authority to support the oil, gas and petrochemical sectors wherever regulatory assistance, streamlined procedures or other forms of backing are needed.

Ahmadi also highlighted energy efficiency as a key focus, noting that the Organization for Energy Optimization and Strategic Management was established last year through cooperation between parliament and the government. He said the commission's priorities for the coming year include providing practical support for the organization and closely overseeing implementation of its programs.

He added that the committee will continue to promote close coordination between the Oil Ministry and the Energy Ministry to improve energy consumption management, ensure timely fuel supplies for power plants, and strengthen the stability of the country's electricity and natural gas networks.

Ahmadi said the commission will also expand its oversight role this year by assigning members to directly monitor energy projects and different segments of the sector, with the goal of delivering measurable results.
