Iran Seeks Investment for Mini-LNG Plants

TEHRAN August 20 (Shana)--Iran is to launch an invitation to potential investors in mini-LNG facilities in two months, managing-director of National Iranian Gas Company said.

“After the launch of the invitation, investment companies can announce their readiness for contribution to the construction of mini-LNG plants,” Hamid-Reza Araqi said.
He said that the plants are to be constructed in four border regions experiencing low temperatures, adding that each facility will have the storage capacity of 90 mcm of natural gas.
Araqi said gas supply to villages through mini-LNG facilities will be more economical than piping gas.
He said the mini-LNG plants require 100 million dollars in investment, adding that these plants would stabilize national gas supply network.
