South Pars daily gas output hits new record of 722 mcm

SHANA (Tehran) - The CEO of Pars Oil and Gas Company said the company has set a new record by producing 722 million cubic meters of rich gas per day from the shared South Pars field — an increase of 6 million cubic meters compared with last winter.

Touraj Dehqani credited the achievement to a series of technical and managerial measures, along with coordinated efforts across the company’s operational and administrative divisions. He said the gains reflect work carried out over the past year with a focus on boosting and stabilizing rich gas production through drilling new wells, conducting targeted overhauls, upgrading equipment reliability and relying on thousands of skilled domestic specialists.
Dehqani noted that South Pars is the backbone of Iran’s natural gas supply, and that increasing production capacity at the field directly strengthens the resilience of the national gas distribution network.
He thanked employees for their around-the-clock efforts under demanding operating conditions, saying the new record is the result of continuous teamwork and the dedication of colleagues who work without interruption to safeguard the country’s energy flow.
